Mr. Waller is a founding partner of M3 Funds, LLC and M3F Inc. Mr. Waller has over 15 years experience analyzing and investing in the bank and thrift sector. As a portfolio manager, he focuses on investment analysis, risk management, and portfolio construction.

Mr. Waller has obtained and exercised a unique array of experiences in prior positions. Most recently, he was employed by Hovde Capital Advisors LLC, in Washington, DC, where he spent over six years working with the firm’s series of financial services sector investment funds. At Hovde, Mr. Waller participated in several facets of the organization, including portfolio management, investment analysis, risk management, trading, recruiting, training, and management of employees. Additionally, he worked for the firm of Mangan & McColl Partners LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina where he focused on the financial services sector. Also, Mr. Waller spent two years working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as an analyst and trading assistant at the firm of Dippell & Company, a registered competitive market maker. Finally, he spent two years as an analyst for Dougan & Associates, a private investment company based in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was introduced to the bank and thrift sector.

Mr. Waller received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Utah.
